TNA (Theatrics 'N' Artistry Division) 

This artistic division is open to North American residents including Canada & Mexico.

Restrictions:
*Candidates may not have a title from ANY pole dancing competition
Candidates may not have ever COMPETED in an Elite/Professional (ADVANCED) level competition including but not limited to:
-North American Pole Dance Championship
-The Great Midwest Pole Dance Competition - Regional Elite
-USPDF - Amateur or Pro
-Any Anjel Dust Production Pole Dance Competition
-APFA
- Placed in any Pole Dance America Competition in the professional level division, or holds any level title
- competed in ANY Pole Sport Organization (PPC) level 3 or above, or holds any title from any division



Finalists may have beginner level competition or strip club competition experience but may not hold a title from these competitions.

 

 



Online Round:

​Please submit a 2 minute video.



Scoring:

(10) Artistry - point, extension, emotion

(10) Movement - completion of transitions,  tricks, spins and fluidity

(10) Presentation - musicality, costume, style, personality



Finalists scoring the highest points overall in all 3 categories will be offered finalist spots.

Final Round

​Competitors will be judged on their ability to express, entertain and create.

While all pole dance moves may be used in this competition, competitors will not be given any points for difficulty of moves.  The point of this competition is to show the judges you are ENTERTAINING.  We encourage performers to get creative and have a lot fun.  We would like to see you innovate pole dancing and tell us why you are the most entertaining.

Theatrics: (25 points)

Showmanship - drama, excitement, variety of moves, personal style, wow us!​

Audience interaction

Costume - rhinestones, glitter, feathers!  have fun!
Musicality/originality of and use of music -
Expression, emotion​
Incorporation of prop -
how well used/originality of prop​

Artistry: (25 points)

Point, extension - point those toes!  Make sure your lines are clean and push through the backs of those knees​

Fluidity and completion of moves/tricks - cleanliness of lines in tricks/moves, ease of transtions on the pole, off the pole and into and out of tricks​

​Overall use of stage - be sure to use both poles and the floor, don't stay in one place

Personal Style - unique movement/flow/tricks, originality of sequences/tricks/spins, show us YOU! 

Endurance 





Compulsories: (50 points)

- Must incorporate *prop(s) into routine for at least half of your routine

​

- 30 seconds of continuous off the pole movement - get creative, may include prop, chair, floor etc - may not include use of any apparatus 

​

- 15 seconds of continuous transitional moves around the pole with at least on foot on the ground - may include floor work which incorporates the pole
 

- one spinning combination of 2 poses, making 1 full rotation around the pole each, with 1 aerial transition in between - no inversions

​

- 1 pose on the pole utilizing a prop(s) - maybe upright or inverted, spin or static



*All props must be made known to organizer and must be approved before use on stage.  Use of any prop not pre-approved will result in penalty points



Additional Awards:

At the end of the competition judges will also score:

"Most entertaining"

"Best use of prop"

"Best Theme"

 

​*These are extra awards and will be scored at the end of the competition, the competitors who score best in these 3 categories will receive these awards, in the event of a tie, finalists will share award.​
